Rehabilitation Center

We are excited to announce that starting in December, The Animal Wellness Center of Danville will be offering Rehabilitation (physical therapy) services including Hydrotherapy to canine and feline patients in our brand new, state-of-the-art rehab facility. Our animal physical therapy program helps pets recover from injury or surgery, manage pain, and regain mobility through customized plans using treatments like hydrotherapy, cold laser, and PEMF therapy.

At the Animal Wellness Center of Danville, our chiropractic, acupuncture, and rehabilitation (physical therapy) services work together to restore comfort, mobility, and vitality— helping pets live their happiest, healthiest lives. With her years of experience, Dr. AJ Kimbrough, our Veterinary Rehabilitation Specialist, provides customized animal physical therapy programs to help your pet recover from injury or surgery, manage pain and regain mobility with the following services:

  • Manual Therapy (massage, joint mobilization, stretching)

Director of Veterinary Rehabilitation

DR. AJ KIMBROUGH, DPT, CCRP

Dr. AJ Kimbrough earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Augusta University. After working in both hospital and outpatient rehabilitation settings in human healthcare, she became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner
(CCRP) through the University of Tennessee and transitioned to her dream role in animal rehabilitation. She spent several years at SAGE Veterinary Centers, a specialty hospital where she collaborated closely with departments such as Surgery, Neurology, Oncology, and Internal Medicine designing individualized rehabilitation programs for dogs and cats recovering from complex injuries, surgical procedures, and chronic or neurologic conditions.

Dr. Kimbrough is excited to join The Animal Wellness Center of Danville, where she shares the team’s commitment to personalized, collaborative care and genuine connection with clients and their pets.
