Pet End-of-Life Care

W understand that saying goodbye to a beloved pet is one of the most difficult experiences a family can face. Our veterinary team is committed to providing compassionate end-of-life care with dignity, empathy, and support.

Compassionate Support for Your Pet’s Final Journey

As pets age or face serious illness, our goal is to help maintain their comfort and quality of life for as long as possible while guiding you through every stage of the process with understanding and care.

One of the most challenging parts of pet ownership is determining when a pet’s quality of life may be declining. Our veterinary team can help assess your pet’s overall comfort, mobility, appetite, behavior, and daily function to help you better understand their condition and available options.

During a quality of life consultation, we may discuss:

  • Chronic pain management
  • Mobility concerns
  • Appetite and hydration
  • Anxiety or confusion
  • Changes in behavior
  • Comfort-focused care options

Pet Euthanasia

When a pet’s quality of life has significantly declined, and suffering can no longer be adequately managed, humane euthanasia may be the kindest option. While this decision is never easy, our veterinary team is here to provide compassionate guidance and support throughout the process.

We strive to make your pet’s final moments as peaceful and comfortable as possible in a quiet, supportive environment.

During the appointment:

  • We will explain the process beforehand and answer any questions you may have
  • Families are welcome to remain with their pet if they choose
  • Sedation may be administered to help your pet feel calm and relaxed
  • The euthanasia procedure itself is gentle and painless

We understand every family handles this experience differently, and we are committed to honoring your wishes while supporting you through the process.

Aftercare & Cremation

In addition to providing compassionate end-of-life care, we can help guide you through the aftercare decisions that follow your pet’s passing.

We partner with Animal Memorial Services for respectful and dignified aftercare services. They utilize water-based cremation (aquamation), an environmentally conscious alternative to traditional flame-based cremation that uses water and gentle alkaline solutions to return your pet’s remains to their natural elements.

Private Water-Based Cremation

For families who wish to keep their pet’s ashes, private aquamation is available. With this option, your pet is cared for individually, and their ashes are returned to you in a memorial urn.

Communal Water-Based Cremation

Communal water-based cremation is also available for families who do not wish to have their pet’s ashes returned. With this option, pets are cared for respectfully alongside other beloved companions. Following the process, the ashes are scattered in the ocean, providing a peaceful and meaningful final resting place.
