Benefits of Pet Acupuncture
Acupuncture, a practice that has been around for thousands of years, is rooted in the idea of energy flowing through pathways known as meridians within the body. In traditional Chinese medicine, illness is thought to occur when this energy flow becomes disrupted or unbalanced. By targeting specific acupuncture points along these meridians, balance can be restored, promoting better health and helping to relieve various conditions.
The process of veterinary acupuncture is relatively simple. We will first assess your pet’s condition and then insert thin needles into specific points on the body. The needles are left in place for a few minutes, and then they are removed. Most pets tolerate acupuncture well, and some even seem to enjoy it.
